The Creator
Howdy! My name is Roger Rose and I’m a character animator. I began my career at Pixar Animation Studios in 1994. I animated on the original Toy Story and continued at Pixar, animating on a total of 11 features films, several short films and attractions for Disney theme parks. My lightbox AniMosaics are inspired by that 20-year career.
The Content
AniMosaics are laser cut light boxes, made with lights, patterns and colors. Each box is made through a several step process in order to create something magical. AniMosaics are made of layers of thin wood and paper, laser cut and hand painted with acrylic, gouache and airbrush. Each box is made with up to 30+ layers creating a sense of depth and motion, illuminated with LED strip lights. My AniMosaics are a labor of love, taking up to a week to complete.
